In the Ruka seminar, we will once again do thought work together. What do building regulations and cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and the Environment look like? Are there more challenges than opportunities? The group work will be led by Marianne Mäntylehto together with Sunet's CEO Aatu Samppala.

Marianne Mäntylehto has been the CEO of Kairan Kuitu Oy since 2016. Her career in fiber optic networks began in 2013, when Kairan Kuitu Oy was founded. In the early years of the company, her duties focused on financing projects by the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport, the Environment and the Environment and Traficom. Mäntylehto has also previously served on the board of the Finnish Regional Networks for a total of 3 years. During that time, the activities of the Regional Networks were actively influencing, among other things, the amendment to the Broadband Support Act. In 2023, Mäntylehto received the Light of the Year award from the Finnish Regional Networks for her significant contribution to the expansion of fiber optic connections and as a factor in the cooperation of the Nordic regional networks.

Aatu Samppala is an enthusiastic regional developer and advocate of the burning regional networks, with 20 years of basic studies in the Regional Network operations behind him. He is a current volleyball coach without playing experience. Aatu would also like to ride his bike harder and longer, but he doesn’t have enough money for everything – so he will arrive at the Ruka seminar in another way than by cycling.
