The preparation of the member seminar and the seminar itself are overseen by the new Chairman of the Finnish Regional Networks Association, Jari Käyhty, elected at the Autumn Meeting. Although Master Simo Frangén will be reading the notes for the event throughout the seminar, ensuring smooth progress, responsibility for the whole event must still be in stable hands.
What is Jari Käyhty thinking about when preparing for the spring Ruka seminar? The interview was conducted in early February, when the program was almost ready and small details were being finalized.
”So, as the chairman of the Finnish Regional Networks, I am in a new role for the first time. The responsibility for the association, its operations and the implementation of the action plan, and the association’s voice being heard as a representative of the industry is pleasant, as my day job as the CEO of Saimaan Kuitu Oy provides a strong foundation for it. Network construction has been familiar to me for decades, but originally from the electricity side. In 2019, I joined Saimaan Kuitu Oy and the fiber construction industry.
A lot has happened since then. During my career, I have seen thousands of organizations: small and large, and all have the same challenges, how to cope now and in the future. Successful ones are those who look to the future openly and courageously and seek their place in that change. In the regional networks’ seminars and monthly webinars, we discuss burning issues in the field – and above all, we get to exchange experiences and opinions.
So I welcome you all to Ruka – another rewarding seminar is coming!”
